1974 Truck Build
January 3, 2021 Total Invested: $0.00 I spotted this truck in my neighborhood some time ago...it was just sitting at the end of the property, tucked behind other old farm equipment and slowly rusting away. March 30, 2021 Total Invested: $1,500.00 One day I was driving by the place, and saw an old man tinkering in his yard, so I stopped by and casually inquired about the truck... "The truck belonged to an old friend of mine," the old man said. "Back in 1995 he borrowed some mo

1985 Truck Build
After selling my JEEP and being idle for a couple of years I realized I am missing dirt and sweat, busted knuckles, empty beer cans and spent gun shells rolling on the cab floor...missing the adventure. So I decided to build another adventure vehicle to run around the mountains, deserts, canyons and the local mud pits. I always wanted to have an American truck... and a Square Body Chevy represents that truck to me. So this time as good as ever to get one. I patiently searched

New Melonies Lake
Had a couple of days together so we set out to the lake...The weather forecast was not the best, but that is the beauty having the roof above the head instead tent fabric... November 26, 2019 Arrived late in the afternoon...raining and windy. Set up camp on the top of the hill overlooking the lake... The wind and rain beat on us non stop for the rest of the day...I don't think Beth and Scout ever got outside that day... I did managed to walk to the water but it was cold, wet

5th-Wheel Floor Install
Now that the painting is done, time for the floor. September 9, 2019 Scored some real wood flooring from the house that is being remodeled... had to pull it out, but a half days work was worth it. Set up my work shop on the ranch and as soon the paint dried I set out to work on the floor. November 10, 2019 Trying to figure out the layout and start point. It will be a lot of cutting, corners and some weird angles. No fun if it's easy.... Couple of beers later I was on the roll

5th-Wheel Painting
This is it…after several years of talking and thinking about it I am painting the rest of the interior. Couple of month ago I scored wood flooring. Real wood boards from the house that is being renovated. Pulled floorboards, brought it home, cleaned, sorted and stacked in the garage… Before I install new floor, it makes sense to paint the walls and cabinets. This time I will be using paint sprayer I bought last winter when repainting our kitchen cabinets. It should be easy…at

The JEEP
I am missing my Jeep... missing the adventure and freedom that came with it... missing the dust, dirt...flat tires and busted knuckles... beer cans, spent 7.62 x 39 casings on the floor and all the other crazy shit that comes with it.... December 16, 2012 It all started with a typical lazy Sunday morning. I was on my way to have some breakfast when some random white pick up truck jumped red light and totaled my Camaro... And just like that, my Fast and Furious days were over.

Utica Reservoir
This time it was a solo trip to one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever been - Utica Reservoir. On Wednesday morning I kissed my girl, petted the dogs and with the kayak strapped to the bed of the truck I set out for a 5 day camping trip in to the Sierra Nevada mountains. It took me about 3 beers to get there, but by 10am my kayak was loaded with camping gear and in the water... I came alone today, but tomorrow some of my friends will be joining me for the weekend. So m

Lake McSwain 2.0
I liked campgrounds in Lake McSwain and wanted to come back there again...so I took some time off and set out there on Thursday with intent to stay there until Tuesday. Total of six days...should be relaxing. Beth was not able to take time off this weekend so it will have to be a solo trip with some friends joining me on Friday and Saturday. We had 3 sites reserves next to each other so we all cozy and close by in case we need to borrow some sugar in the morning... I woke up

Triple B - Bumper, BBQ and Blow-Out
It been a long time since Beth and I had some time together. So this weekend we arranged some things and headed up the hill to spend couple of days in the cooler weather. We left home late on Friday with a hungry bellies. After an hour in the truck we both were ready for a good hot meal... So, we stopped at Mia's along the Hwy 108. Ordered casadia, burger...beers... why not, we will get to the camp late and most likely will be dark by the time we set up the camp... Then we c

Lake Eastman
We survived the weekend ... HOT weekend. By the time we left on Friday it was like 97F...the weather cast for the weekend was 100+ Good opportunity to test the AC unit and learn what it is like to be in the HOT weather... The road to the lake is rough so we took it slow and kept it at 45m/hr. After hearing all the horror stories about blown out tire...I had no desire to be rustling with my first tire change on the hot and desolate road... It took us about an hour to get to t
