PAINTING MY BIKE

So I had my bike for 2 years now...and yes I did dropped it once or twice...got all kind of scratches and stuff...
But I never liked that shiny black color anyway ... so on one sunny spring day I pulled my bike outside the garage and stripped down as much I could...
Then I went to the Auto Zone and purchased pack of 220 grid sand paper, couple cans of Rustoleum Flat Black, 2 cans of VHT Flame Proof spray paint for total of like 30 bucks or so...
Came back home and sanded all the plastic parts down a little...
Just to make not so shiny anymore...
Just like I sed before I did had several incidents that left pretty deep scars on my bike, so I used opportunity and put some putty over those areas..
Peeled those awful looking stickers off...
And filled all scrapes and scratches with more putty...
Meanwhile my new $11.90 turn signals arrived (click here for more info) I got sick and tired to buy new ones every time my bike decides to take a dump...
LED lights ...smoked glass...looks pretty cool....
I cut the original turn signal housing down flush with the panel..
Then used epoxy to glue a piece of plastic on the inside...
Lots of putty to fill the hole from the outside..
And some Rustoleum spray paint to finish the job.....
Next I set up my paint shop in the back yard....got my dog to guard the parts from squirrels pissing all over the fresh paint job...
And started spraying everything...
Flat Black baby..!!!
While plastic parts are baking in the sun...
I sanded and washed with a soap all exhaust parts...30 minutes later they were hanging in the sun and baking...
This is the paint i used for the exhaust ...
Rest exhaust parts got the same treatment ....sandpaper, soap...sun heat...and spray paint..
Here is the new turn signals mounted and ready to go...
Checking for the action...
Low profile...I like it...!!!
Couple days later I was back on the road...with a brand new bike...!!! Stealth Black...baby..!!!!
