OIL CHANGE
I have ben sick for the past couple of days and spending too much time on the couch by the fire place. My wife was making sure i stay foot and drink a lots of hot tea with the honney. |
If I can not go riding atleast I can go work on my bike - change the oil for example |
I bought a oil change kit on my last trip to Modesto, so I had everything i needed |
I pulled my bike out of garage and started to strip it down....(I think we have to many cars...) |
Now I had easy access to the oil tank |
...and the drain plug... |
There is a little magnet attached on the bolt that catches metal shavings - it had couple tiny flakes on it |
Draining oil from the engine |
Leaned my bike on the side peg and removed the screw on the bottom of the tank |

Drained oil |
The coffe can works good for this job and it is the right size too |
I left the oil to dripp out of the bike and started to change the filter |
First step is to remove the front sprocket cover - as it is bloking one of the tree screws |
Second step - is to remove three more screws from the cover |
And pull the old filter out |
It is very simple and easy... |
Put a new filter in, replace new cover seal and put everything back just the way it was... |
Screw all bolts and nuts back in the place and it is time for the fresh oil |
Just like that and I'm done... |
