I finished my bike maintenance and was finally ready for a summer rides....The day was beautiful, my wife was out of town ...I probably should mow a lawn and work around the house today...

Yeah right! I was on my bike blasting towards the hills....it's spring! And it's time to play...all this honey due list and lawn mover going to have to wait....

The weather and the stage was perfect to get back in the groove after those long lounging on the sofa winter month.

I wish this road would never end...

I had a hard time to concentrate on the road ....there were some beautiful landscaping after every curve...Stop, take a picture , get on the bike, start riding, stop....take a picture, get on the bike, ride...over and over ....I got passed by turtle several times...but it was worth it...

I like this sign ...I bet every dual sport rider likes to see this sign....

Life at New Idria as usual....some rodents running around ...weeds are doing well...and that is pretty much all the hot news....

The bus station in the rush hour...

And that pretty much summarizes the life in the New Idria....long gone!

Once again....the beauty of the hills this time of the year is breath taking...

It's like entering ferry tale world....

I should become a movie producer, buy some land and make movies up here....

Or start painting and sell my paintings on the ebay...

San Carlos creek runs down from New Idria mercury mines and drains at the San Joaquin River near the Mendota....

The orange color is said to be iron oxide, not toxic mercury oxide...and some other crap such as 3 pounds of mercury each year....it sure looks bad and pretty at the same time ...I am not fishing at the San Joaquin river or Mendota Wildlife Refuge anymore, that's for sure... Other than couple of jets above my head the traffic was perfect....
