DAY THREE

In the morning my next door neighbors treated me for a hot cup of coffe....nice people...
It was going to be another beautiful day....
My chain was feeling lose last night so I took a look and noticed that rear sprocket is toasted....! Night before I left on this trip, I decided to make last trip out of this chain and sprockets...so I left new set laying on my garage table ...I wish I had it with me now....
I made the decision to start working my way home ...before the sprocket get's stripped leaving my sorry ass in the middle of desert....
The old abandoned stuff my weaknes...if I could I would drag all this stuff to my house....
The day turned out to be beautiful and warm....if not the sprocket I would spend another couple of days riding around....
If you like rocks ...the Panamint Valley is your heaven ....entire desert floor covered by rocks....
They come in all shapes and sizes....
I stuffed my pockets with a rocks for my collection and hit a road....
A little detour to Ballarat ghost town....
Visitors center was open and some dude offered my cold beer....
We sat on his front porch and talked about this place, people, history of the area....
He told me about Charles Manson's truck....and his house, located like 20 miles from this place...
I walked around and took some pictures of junk that was scattered around...
Nice...!
Next town was town of Trona...
The sprocket was looking really bad....and I still had long way to go....
But I could not resist taking another detour and visit Trona Pinnacles...10 miles of dirt road...
Very interesting place ....I will have to come back some day and spend more time....now I need to keep moving....
Trona Pinnacles...and my bike...
Run across a train in the middle of nowhere....
Next 4 hours I did not stopped anymore....just kept going ....I was like 100 yards from my house when finally sprocket gave up...so I ended up pushing my bike home...what a lucky day...!
I never seen a sprocket like this....and I hope never will....
The season of 2010 officially open !
Happy END
