Everyone asking me if I ever ben at Lake Tahoe and if I liked up there...and I have to admit that I never seen it. So this Saturday I decided to pay my dues and visit that famous place..

I chose the Sonora Pass for my "hump" over the Sierras...Did not stop as much as usually so there are not many pictures..

I was really close to the Topaz lake so I decided to make a little run and check this place...not to mach to see up there..

This is the first time that I crossed state line on my bike

On the way to my destination along hwy 89 I spotted this dirt road...so I did a little detour ..again...what a beautiful place...will have to come back some time and play more up here

The landscape is totally different that on the West side of Sierras ...I love it!

Back on the road. ..couple hours later..

Lake Tahoe in the distance...it is time to look for some camp site..

Fallen Leaf campsite is right next to Lake Tahoe...and right on the shore of the small lake that is called Fallen Leaf lake ...of course... They charged me $25 for the night...as I find out later (online) the fee is $20... Not sure if I got ripped off or they just need to update their site..

Anyway...it was a really nice place. So I popped my tent, unloaded stuff and went for a little walk in the forrest...to collect some fire wood for the night..

A couple of hundred yards from my tent I stumbled on this gorges lake. ..I did not expected this lake to be that closer..

What a beautiful place..

There is not much of sunlight left I better go back to collecting fire wood for the night

All set ...time for the dinner. ..I wish I have a couple of cold beers right now..

I woke up early in the morning and went to the lake to watch a sunrise..

Around 7 that morning I left the campsite and continued my trip around Lake Tahoe ...looking for some good hot coffle..

I drove all the way around the lake and the part that I liked the most was North East side of the lake ...seems that it is the last part of lake that is left undeveloped..

This lake is really large ...as you can see..

So now I seen the Lake Tahoe...did I liked..? Not really...too much development and civilization for me ...I like the wild country ...without log cabins, barbed wire fences ...and other junk that people like to dump all over the place..

I left Lake Tahoe around noon and headed back to my favorite sierras...yes I feel much better up here..

And this is the kind of lake I found much more appealing to me that a large lake crowded with people..

I took Hwy 4 back home...the weather at 9000 feet was perfect..

Back at 3000 feet the heat reminded me that I'm almost home..
