SMITH RIVER NRA, CA - CLEAR LAKE , OR 326 mi

Once again I slept like a baby...by 7:30am I was on the road heading North to Oregon. The morning weather was kind of foggy...and I hoped that it will turn out to a beautiful and sunny day...
OK, judging by the mileage and my map I should be in the Oregon by now, but I did not seen any "Welcome to Oregon" signs....just never ending road through the forest..
Finally a town...! In Grants Pass I stopped in the custom bike shop where I got some chain lubricant for the trip. The guys were very friendly in this shop..
Couple hours later I entered Crater Lake NP. The weather turnout to be perfect!
Wow! There are plenty of snow up here!
Such a beautiful place
Solid proof that I have ben up there...
Some places still had like 15 feet of snow on the side of the road. It was kind of chilly up here..
So I was glad to come back to lower elevation ...After I left the Park road was straight as a string...for miles and miles....and miles...
So far so good 57 mi/gal...not bad...when fully loaded...
The scenery changed when I got to Warm Springs Indian Reservation...and road was much more fun to drive ...
Mnt Jefferson on the Left side of the road...
...Mnt Hood on the Right ....
...the road and my bike right in the middle...
Around 7pm i stopped by Clear Lake and settled in for the night. Campsite was completely empty...and there were a tons of fire wood left behind..
Got my dinner served as usual
Perfect campsite for $10.00 beats any motel or hotel....see you in the morning!
