Yosemite Trip

September 29th was the first time that I rode not alone. My friend Steve had just bought a new bike and was anxious to get on the road.

I met him by Mariposa and we hit some back country roads. Our mission was to reach Yosemite Natinial Park from the back side - this way you do not have to pay the $20 entry fee.
The trail was a little dusty but fun to ride. Too bad I did not snap any pictures but I kissed the dirt on one of the turns. Minor damages to the bike - broken mirror and turn signal. Nothing that a little electrical tape couldn't temporarily fix so that we could continue our ride.
This meant "Dead End" for us and we had to look for another road.
Finally in the park, we stopped for gas and then continued the trip.
If you've ever heard about Yosemite National Park, you've most likely seen this picture.
Here I am!
We left the park and drove to Coultervile on US 10. I had a second wipe out on that road - I hate loose gravel and pot holes!
I had bought engine guards just a couple of days before the trip and they took most of the punishment - I'm so glad I bought them! The turn signal this time was completely gone and there are now some new scars on the fender....other than that everything is perfect.
